We have decided not to play gigs and focused on completing our second album when our guitarist Pavel Hortík was abroad. But there was a strong will to play live; the pause was too long. So we've decided to ask our friend and impresario Stefan Cima, who is great guitarist and strong in kraut and long psychedelic layers, to join us on the yard of Meetfactory. To rehearse and perform our current repertoire did not make sense at all so we've decided to be more free in form. Also we wanted to give more space to Ondra's saxophone, he's been more into jazz lately. I've immediately remembered Miles Davis's On the Corner Session. But mostly the inspiration came from live improv sessions of Alex Zhang Hungtai; I've always wanted to try it. We agreed on key, structure, but mostly wanted to have fun with it. It has resulted in four improvisations. They have captured what we felt in the beginning of June and how we interacted with each other. It is a different Vellocet Roll. It's still us, but more open and confident.
